It will probably look something like this on the track listing, Shotgun (Mothafucka')
Haha, but ya that intro kicks ass
"It was cold in the kitchen and the lights were low as winter slowly stumbled home, the air felt different and it started to show as every breath resembled smoke, i was short of opinions and i wanted to know if i'd see your face tomorrow,
'cuz it was cold in the kitchen and the lights were low as winter wrapped around CHICAGO"-UM
Musically, this song is absolutely incredible, has grown so much already throughout just the summer.
Lyrically, I still prefer the lyrics dave used on the debut of the song, I think if he builds off of all the lyrics that he's been brainstorming throughout the summer and finds a way to bring them all into one, this may be the best song since dreaming tree ... i only say that because I tend to compare it to dreaming tree for some reason.

EDIT: almost forgot, thanks so much Gianni.
Your right, the lyrics from the first version are the best. He has had some gems in the other versions though. I don't know why but I love the Romeo and Juliet line in this version. I hope he actually takes some time and works hard on these lyrics because the song could be something really special.

Yeh, I've unfortunately only heard a couple versions, but i like bits and pieces of the lyrics from each. The Romeo and Juliet thing is awesome, but i also love bits and pieces from the first version, such as "Why'd you have to go, all the way inside my head," or something similar to that, i can't remember exactly. I think he's just brainstorming some new lyrics with each show, hopefully he'll throw 'em all together in the end. Dave's a great lyricist, and i hope he doesn't settle for just 'ok' lyrics like he had on stand up. I use 'ok' generously as you'll notice.

I also like that line. Another one that I enjoy from the first version is the 'rainbows broken by the glass' for some reason.
