jesus thats so far from checking innotation, you do that by hitting an open string with a tuner, see it, then hit fret 12, see if it comes up the same. if not its off.

has anyone here bought a guitar from Jon @ myfavoriteguitars?

i just spoke with him and he was great, spending a good 10 mins talking to me about each guitar and offered me a great price on a 35 - 1629. said martin just raised their prices on new ones but he had older ones in stock.

i wanna hear any good/bad experiences with him. thanks

I had a great experience with him also. I was about to buy a Martin D-41 Special from him, but G.A.S. led me to buy the guitar from Buffalo Bros. since I was in San Diego on vacation. I regret buying from Buffalo Bros., simply because of one sales associate. I didnt get that "holy shit, I just bought an awesome guitar" feeling after buying a guitar, I just got "hey I bought a guitar". Next purchase will probably be from him. I find that he has probably the lowest prices on Martins and he is one of the nicest guys to do business with. You definetly can beat his customer satisfaction. Sure beats the shit out Guitar Centers and Sam Ashes around here.

Also, check out Maury's Music to get a free pickup installed or the other free gifts

For a pickup, I highly recommend getting a K&K Ultra PureWestern pickup

Hope it all works out well for ya bud!

it was a regular D-35, not an HD which is in the 2000 range.
