when did you start playing guitar?

started when i was 20 and ive been playing almost two years, shy a couple of months..

I started 2, maybe 3 years ago.. but i was lousy then and decided to quit after about a year.. then i picked it up last school year(freshman year of highschool) and now have been playing for 2 years(nearly end of sophomore year)

Started at the end of the 7th grade so about 4 and a half years. My first guitar was "awsome" Mitchell 100s. Still have and play it quite often. good times

Oh my, everyone is so young on this forum.

I started playing at the age of 11 and I am older than Mr Matthews so I have been playing a looooooooong time!!

Amen Dilbert. You and I are close to the same age. I have to get my practice time in between spending time with the wife and kids. I played bass and guitar in high school then gave it up for several years. I picked it up seriously about a year and a half ago. It's the best thing that I ever did!

Learned 2 Nirvana songs in seventh grade on a friends guitar(1995) played the 2 songs for 8 years on other friends guitars

finally got my own axe this past december and can't stop playing!!
