They played Seven tonight so we should get a pull of that in a day or two. I'm excited because the sound check clip really intrigued me but it was too crappy to make sense of.

I agree. And the clip itself is just alright.bense27 wrote:Another thing about Shake Me Like a Monkey...at least it sounds like it was well produced. It's kind of got that Everyday feel to it, but it at least seems like they put more time into making it sound good.

Alright so far we have heard 5 songs from the album sessions and only one of them I would classify as a good song. I am back to having very little hopes for this record.
Beach Ball - good song, sounds like something from Some Devil. The latest version is really nice.
Why I Am - its ok and it has potential, hopefully the studio version is well put together because I think it has the makings of a decent song
Funny The Way It Is - radio pop and its mediocre at best. I have no desire to go back and listen to it anymore
Spaceman - awful, sounds like something from SU
Seven - I don't know what the hell they were going for here but they missed badly

Can someone post the "best" version of Beach Ball this far?
Also, it's funny that the best song so far isn't on the record. I have a feeling it has a lot to do with who wrote the song, or didn't for that matter. I bet the band only wants the shot they wrote to be on the record

In case you have not heard seven. IMO it has it's moments but he just does not pull off the lyrics very well live. I bet it will be cool on the album though. I also think it's fair to say that was not a great performance of the song.
