I agree.

btw. some of those DMB fan guys are complete douchebags...am I wrong?

I definitely got a stand up vibe from that clip too, in the polished sense. It didn't sound like Dave Matthews Band though... I think I like it though? I'm really not sure. I haven't been listening to recent DMB, and a few months ago I had a really big Peter Gabriel kick so when I heard they played sledgehammer I went and listened to it.... it seems like Dave tries to sing like Peter a bit though...

I love that clip. I just can't envision them attaching LeRoi's memory to a piece of crap. I think they could pull it off.

edit: and I can't wait to listen to this song without that chick's "ARLGHGGH YEAHAHAHH" when the band kicks in.

well, it's too late for oh-I-wish-they-woulds, but I really hoped that when I heard the intro the whole album would be like that - deep, dark, scary and BTCS like... guess not

anyway, two things:
- Is there a song on the album with Taylor
- Could anyone put up a link for "Kill the King", I saw people talking about it earlier... I've seen the title before and I thought they just changed the title for 'round and around,
(that part: "Kill the king, kill the king if the king is a clown"... something like that)...

I get the feeling the only thing I liked about it was that it was completely new DMB stuff. I mean it was alright, but nothing earth-shattering.

Looks like people are saying that Funny The Way It Is will be the first single and should be out next week

Ya, apparently the date has been confirmed by a few radio stations, expect the single on April 9th. Only a week away, sweeet! The single is slated to go on sale April 14th.

i liked the clip. I didn't like the trumpet at all, it made it corny really... but like it was said hopefully that wasn't the final product or anything like that. It left me wanting to hear more once it was over so that was good, and I didn't want to turn it off which is also good. I can't really say if I thought it was bad/good/amazing like old DMB though because you can't judge music on like 15 second sound clips. that's like reading the first chapter of a book and then stopping, and then telling your friend that the book isn't any good/amazing/whatever.

oh wow. yea, April 9th is really soon. I am nervous to hear it actually. But excited nervous really.

and the other thing that makes me nervous in the non-excited way is that comment dave made about "even if you don't like DMB you will like this record" which is just... not good on so many levels and with so many meanings... ugh. :(
