hey that was kinda funky. I liked it sans the two girls breaking out into the grotesque hippy-dance.

edit: one of them was a guy

That intro sounded great, and I was digging the little bit of that song. Maybe there is hope after all. If that is the direction they're headed in, I think I'm on board.

Sounded pretty good, that intro was great. That guy was a total tool. When everyone starts dancing Dave looks like "ummm, yeah."

Are you talking about the trumpet? That was probably a really rough mix, usually brass stuff is not that dominate in a rock style mix. It was very dry, very little if no reverb added on it, which usually is heard on brass in that kind of setting. Overall it was probably a rough mix at that time.

The opening is nice. That must be the beginning of the album with LeRoi like he talked about in that article, it sounds like his playing. The part afterward is alright, I still am not a fan of the trumpet though.

Ya, I would wager heavily that it's not going to stay like that.

I think he means trumpet playing in general on the tracks, not the way it was mixed.

Yep. It sounds like I'm listening to James Brown or something. The more times I listen to that clip the more I don't really like it. It sounds almost too polished or too sleek, and it kinda reminds me of Stand Up the song. It is definitely giving off that vibe. That being said I don't want to get too down on 25 seconds worth of music. I hope those reports are right and we get to hear a single on the 14th.

hmmm that was interesting. Definitely funky. Makes sense now why they were drawn to songs like Sledgehammer, Burnin Down The House, and Thank You last tour. You can definitely hear that type of sound in there.
