Not too pumped about this producer, but we'll see I guess. He may turn out good. Supposedly he's one of these go-to-guy's to get shit done in the studio. Also, Tim Reynolds is in the studio with them. Hell yea! We all know what happens when Tim gets in the studio (R2T, UTTAD, Crash, BTCS, Some Devil). All the albums Tim has not been a part of have not been very good (ED, BS, SU). Dave writes better and performs better with Tim around so this is definitely a positive thing and makes me a little more hopeful for the next album (but it's not like I had any hope for them anymore anyways ).
I hope Dave does most of the writing and not the band collectively as much. I was weary at first about Cavallo, but if he doesn't typically influence song writing, then it's actually a good thing. The mixes on the Goo's and Green Day's albums sound good IMO.
I like this choice. American Idiot was really well done. And believe, me, after seeing the Goo Goo Dolls live, Cavallo deserves a Grammy for making them sound as good as they do on a record. Reznick is decent I guess.
Huzzah for Timmy back in teh fold. If Cavallo is playing piano I guess no Butch in the studio.
As shitty as Stand Up was, Old Dirt Hill on the Radio City CD/DVD was pretty damn cool ... Then again it was just Dave and Timmy and that makes just about anything better.

Well the guy did Iris - which is a song I friggin love (and it sounds far better on the CD)
It has great accoustic sound with sweeping , strong chorus's - which is what DMB needs, so im sure he'll be very good.
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
