I honestly think they have a chance to make a great album (Shotgun, IOY, #27, Eh Hee), but I'm not holding my breath like I did for Stand Up. I am hoping for the best though.

I agree completely, although it's hard to not get my hopes up when you've also got Sweet Up and Down as a possibility. And as much of a long shot as it is, the tease at Sugar Will has got my hopes a little higher for at maybe its return.

Agreed. The SW teases tell me that the song is not completely dead. Dave was heart broken that it didn't make the last album and I think they might give this one another shot as well. I don't think he teased it twice just for teasing sake, i think he means something behind those teases. It would be awesome if they tried those 04 songs out again, but like I said, I am trying my best to not hold my breath. On the other hand, I hope that I am pleasantly surprised.

The tunes in ‘stand up’ sound rushed to me. Other tunes on other Dave albums have all kinds of bridges and unique jams that stand up doesn’t have. Plus there are a few songs on ‘stand up’ that are just plain crappy.
I really don’t see this happening for the new album. I have ridiculously high expectations. I hear a lot of people say that Dave’s voice is shot. I saw him this summer and he still sounds killer, in my opinion

negative. It might not be up to par later in the summer shows when he has been singing for like 3 months straight every day for 4 hours...

but all you have to do is watch Radio City or listen to the Hampton's show to know that, at least when it's him and Tim, he can still get up there on the high range.
