It is so great that Batson is gone, I don't think I've ever seen a worse match for producer and band.

But now they need to make the right choice and either bring in someone like Lanois or get Harris back because getting rid of Batson is only as good as the next decision they make.

What's the word on that guy from Windham Hill records that was supposed to have joined up with them?

I don't know what is up with that other guy Vining. I don't know if he is the answer either. He's got a jazz background but it looks like lately he is doing Christian music, so I hope they stay away from him as well.

The only Lanois that I know of is Daniel Lanois. Who is the guy that wrote The Maker, originally. I don't know if they are the same person though.

Yeah, that's who many have suggested produce the band's next album. They are one in the same. Lanois has also produced U2 and Rolling Stones if I'm not mistaken...
