Delicate - Damien Rice cover

Post by calsteamahater »

Hey, im new to the boards so i figured id post a song and see what happens. . This is my cover of delicate by damien rice. This song is very personal to me so i get a little choked up towards the end but it just puts more emotion into the song. The micrphone clips once at the end too. Enjoy, and comments are appreciated.

Well my opinion is going to be biased considering I live next door to you, but I thought it was really good. Probably, your best cover yet Scott. The guitar was dead on, and the vocals were really good too. The only thing I would say as that when you hit the high notes at the end you loose the strength in your voice that was present through the rest of the cover, thats just being really picky though. Hey, welcome to the boards, and if you don't contribute, I know where to find you so I can kick your ass!

Scott,
Fantastic job. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I love this song and you really performed it well. Guitar work was very well done and I thought your voice fit this song well. You have a nice whispery aspect to your voice but you balance it out with a certain projection that I found enjoyable. Again, great work. Thanks for posting. I hope you stick around; I'd love to hear more.

my favorite is blower's daughter...i still need to redo my cover.

anyway, you did a pretty good job. took some time to get used to your voice. it sounds nasally in a way, and you had some trouble with high notes. the guitar was a littly too boomy for my taste. it's a lot softer and more subtle on the record. other then that, solid job overall. i enjoyed it. :)
