overall, I liked it. For some reason, it kept skipping at 0:34 and 1:06 and 1:35 and 2:06 and 2:36 and 3:07. I thought you had a pretty decent voice. I thought that your voice might be in a different key or octave or something, but I don't really know what i'm talkin about lol. It just sounded different, not bad, just different.
warning- I just did a cover of this myself so I am being EXTREMELY nitpicky here. And I'm not bashing you cuz mine wasn't any better.
As for the guitar, what tab did u use? I just did a cover of SD too and got my tab from http://www.geocities.com/ericwormann/SomeDevilSD.html
thats the standard one, cuz i don't have a baritone. Maybe I didn't hear it correctly, but it was hard to tell if you did the slides in the beginning. Also, it sounded like the slide around 0:48 secs was a little quick. Not the actual slide itself, but it just sounded like you didn't pick every note, then do the slide. Besides those really nitpicky things, I liked it.

Hey thanks for the reply i'm glad you liked it i've only really started trying to improve my singing i don't think my voice holds the verses too well but sounds ok in the chorus would you agree?
As for the tab i recorded that a few weeks ago before i'd seen a good tab. I'll be doing it again shortly with the slides and a standard tab i figured which uses a capo on the 2nd with the low e open so as to get that sustained B note on the A string (did that make sense)
BTW it doesn't skip on mine so that's odd
Once again i appreciate the help and i'd love to hear your version

Yeah, the chorus was pretty nice, but like I said, it sounds a tad different, i dunno why.... but i enjoyed it nonetheless. Its a real hard song to sing to.
about the tab, that kinda makes sense, but the tab that i posted a link to doesn't require you to use a capo at all.
here's a link to the thread where i posted my cover: http://www.dmbtabs.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=8499
nice job

Capo over 2nd leaving Low E open to create "false" drop D

Not bad dude, guitar playing was definatley good. I especially like the standard tab ya posted cool stuff. Your voice was a little unorthodox but you sang in key for the most part. It seems like you have a problem with wavering pitch though especailly at the end of phrases.

Thanks, that's what i need. You're saying that i lose the notes towards the end of my breath? I definately need to do some vocal excercises but i don't know where to start.

not that you lose notes towards the end, but that the note you're holding fluctuates and so there's no solid notes sometimes. too drawn out at others, and a bit nasally, but it takes practice to make it sound all right.
the guitar playing was good overall, but the reverb was a bit much, especially with the hissing in the background.
