I play constantly, you barely ever see me without a guitar in my lap at my house. My strings I use (Dean Markley or DR Handmade) wear out in a month or a month and a half. I always clean my whole guitar with the gibson cleaning package when I change strings.

yea i use Elixer custom light or D'addario EXP extra light, and my sweat is like acid, wears through the coating and all, i play for hours as well but i would they they would last longer than 2 weeks no?

they can go for a while. i don't have sweaty fingers and i don't strum hard.
