Holding Your pick while fingerpicking, how do u do it??

Hey all, first post, curious to know how you hold ur pick in your right hand while fingerpicking with ur right hand. thanks a bunch

i put it on my 2nd or third finger in the middle joint of the finger and wrap around it

I usually use my hand or fingers to hold things...just being an ass...But I usually jam it between my 2nd knuckle of my third finger and lowest crease/knuckle on the inside of my third finger. Sometimes i put it behind my ear cuz that is cool. I forget that it is there a lot tho.

MY MOUTH!!!!!! Seriously...I never took time to learn how to hold it and fingerpick. I mastered grabbing it from my mouth really fast though...and singing with it there!

Do you get lots of saliva all over your strings

I have a roomy who does that, but he is not a fingerpicking kinda guy...and he isn't much of a strummer either

So he just sits there with a pick in his mouth and pretends like he plays

I don't get a lot of saliva on my guitar though, no. I don't know how I do it...My best guess is magic.

Sadly he has one of the worst cases of rhythm impairment that I have ever seen, and his coordination is not very good either. He is a fully functional human being tho. It isn't like he is mentally/physically challenged...he is just not a good guitarist...

I stick it in my mouth, unless it's the only song I happen to be fingerpicking onstage and I have another one on the mic stand. Then, I just throw it away and grab the next one; come on, what's a quarter?
