Changes In Lattitudes, Changes In Attitudes Cover

Unread post by GreedylilPig » Wed Dec 03, 2003 11:59 am

A little tune by Jimmy Buffett. I apologize for the last 2 songs I've posted not being Dave covers; I promise this will be the last one for a while. Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Be excellent to one another.

Nice Brian , good voice , good guitar playing , very good listening :) Had to hear it twice ;)

It sounds like when you begin to sing that the guitar gets slowed down like you lose a little rhythm there , i duno if its supposed to be like that as i don't know the original song , but it still sounds good to me , and maybe its just me hearing things

Definetly worth a listen :)

uhhhh this forum is "recording and critiquing" dont worry about doing dave covers... everyone and their mom does dave covers, it's ok to do something else ;) i for one dont mind...

(i dont know the song at all)
as for the song: the guitar intro is beautiful and your vocals come in soooo appropriately. this is a beautiful cover... even from the start... the mixing of the vocals is slightly too loud, but that's just a mastering issue... i have a sneaking suspicion that i like this better then the orriginal (though i've not heard the orriginal)...

are you aware that you sing with a southern accent (adding a very surreal country feeling to your songs). if this is because you genuinely have a southern accent, by all means use it and make it your own, though if it's accidental... watch out =)

1:32 -- "visions ... go back again" your voice kinda slurs... and "good times ... son of a bitches"

slurring is a subtle problem throughout this song, i suggest if you want to fix this, try singing the song with a pencil in your mouth (like biting it on the entire time) it'll cause you to OVER emphasize your words and it's great to help you hit the words exactly how they need to be pronounced (people do this who speak professionally... i use it for vocal work).

good job!! i cant commend you enough on how beautiful your voice sounds, and how solid your guitar work is.

dude, you keep spitting out stuff like this and you never have to do a dave cover again. Amazing everything. Great voice, great guitar, exceptional recording. I'm so impressed w/ your last two covers. I agree /w xoosh about the slurring but i think i said something like that about your last cover, I think it's just your style/the way you annunciate (sp?) But this was exceptional. Keep em coming, and I'll keep listening.

He is not any worse than any other poster here, and the people who claim he is just don't know what they're talking about. The demonization has gotten ridiculously out of hand.
