black thing

is the black thing that covers a sound hole in daves guitar a feedback buster or does it just make it sharp or quiet or what? what are they and do I need one?

just a feedback buster. if you are gonna be playing loud and amplified then get one. it doesn't color the sound nearly as much as you would think. it does very little to mine except take the volume down just a hair.

does he have it in all his guitars?...i was wondering about that too, im trying to figure out how he makes 'warehouse' so crisp, esp at the beginning when its just him playing

all a feedback buster does is help with feedback problems. it makes little to no effect on the tone when plugged in.

ive heard of him doing it before, but he keeps spares by him all the time, and he has always been quick to grab an extra

ooo.. bo switchin it up :D

yea. the buster doenst even really effect the sound when not plugged it... but theyres really no puropse for using when unplugged except for the pick isue

I think he dropped his pick during 41 at UMass this year. I thought he did when I was there, and seeing the DVD pretty much confirmed it.
