1st electric ?s Sg+ poor amp vs tele aNd decnt amp?
I have about 6-700 to spend on first electric. I always wanted a Gibson Sg but i am a fan of Fender Tele( aware they are two completely diff sounding guitars). My question is Go and get the SG and use a used peavy amp or go with MIM tele and get a decent amp??? How well will the MIM hold up ????? all things considered I will probably buy the other one sometime in the future...

Between a Tele and and a SG, that's hard. If you want a harsher sound, go for the SG, if you want more a of a smoother/twangy sound, get the Tele. Personaly I like Gibson more, but I do like Teles (but a les paul kicks the ass of both 
).
The other thing, a great guitar won't sound great going through a crappy amp. So, if the amp is really crappy, I might lean twars the Tele then.
