Concerts Attended...

Post by johnnyd »

Hey,

Just curious if anyone out there went to the DMB concerts this year at either Blossom in the Cleveland area on June 21 or at the Palace of Auburn Hills on July 3rd. The Blossom show was great being that it was outdoors and we had excellent seats. The Palace show was good but kind of lacking in atmosphere. Not the fault of the DMB. It's just the way the Palace is. If you've ever attended a concert there you know what I mean. It's a hell of a lot more suited to pro basketball.

I was at the palace show, it was terrible, probably the worst DMB show I've seen of 10.

Hey BigSpeen how were your seats? We were in the Pavilion about 20 rows back to the left of the stage. Really awesome seats! I still sat there with a pair of binochulars so I could watch his hands.

The Detroit concert would have been so much better if it had been at Pine Knob (I still call it that!) The acoustics are so shitty at the Palace. The band sounds like a big muddle of sound. There are much better concert venues around here but unfortunately none are big enough for top acts like DMB.

Oh, the Warehouse was SOOO generous so they gave me LAWN SEATS!
I was really glad to hear the OSW w/ instrumental intro though, so it was worth it.

Actually, I lied, it was 6-19-00, my bad. I knew it was the first of the tour bout got confused what day it was. Anywho, that show was pretty sweet, and I was one of the first few thousand people to hear Grey Street, Sweet Up and Down, Diggin a Ditch, and the new and improved Bartender w/ full band.
