What is trmeolo picked mean?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

basically it's where you take a pic and you hit a string on the stroke down and on the stroke back up. but the stroke is so small that you are only hitting that one (or two) strings. that's not the hard part. the hard part is that you must do this in an extremely fast manner.

what i do is pretty much just tense my arm up so i can move the pick as fast as possible in the limited space. -of course, im really not good at it at all- it takes A LOT of practice. hope that explains it

tension is not a good thin apps. playing with tension in any part of your body is not a good idea

of course you'll have to flex some muscles, but let those muscles be in your hand and wrist, not the entire arm

oh well yea, i think i may have said it wrong then. i put the heel of my hand on the guitar and go as fast as i can w/ my wrist and hand. it causes it to tense up as well as the rest of my arm.

I like to lightly rest my hand on the bridge for support when I do it. Some people like to plant there pinkie below the sound hole but I feel it hinders your ability to move from string to string. Unlike normal picking which comes from the wrist you have to move you whole forearm.

i used to have to rest (brace) my palm on the bridge when picking strings, and sometimes brace my pinky on the e-string or soundhole.

but this doesn't work well for strumming, where you want your hand free from being anchored to the guitar.

so, i've gotten to the point where i can pick (and strum) whithout my strum hand touching the guitar top in any way. it's helped increase my picking speed, and makes it easier to quickly switch between picking and strumming (like in Stone, LIOG, etc).

is there any true benefit to wresting your palm on the bridge? it seems like a bad habit to get into.
god knows it weighs on me...as heavy as stone and a bone-chilling cold
