personally, i don't think he's as waisted as he sounds. that's what i think, because beer and stuff like that is bad for your vocal chords and im pretty sure he doesn't do drugs anymore. i could be wrong, but i think dave is just a weird guy that sounds high all of the time
he uhas said that roller coasters don't thrill him that much, because of his drug uses when he was younger. hence, he doesn't do drugs anymore (except, of course, pot).
I was at the D&T show at UMass this year with some buddies. A friend of one of those guys worked security for the show and met Dave. Anyway, he said that Dave and Tim asked for Amstel Light in their dressing room after the show and apparently they drank all of it.
hmmmm, no wonder he's getting lighter around the waist, he's drinking amstel light.
My first time playing infront of people I got hammered and fucked up the second song. I tried to salvage it but my buddy just said fuck it, we laughed and went to the next song.

Wrong.
I heard a radio interview from this year where dave said he " smoked a few trees" before the show.
Dave is probably high more often than anyone thinks. And I beg to differ regarding Ranting's advice to refrain from drinking/smoking before going on stage. I find that if I have 3 drinks (no more, no less) that I perform a hell of a lot better in front of people that with nothing. Any more than that and I get sloppy, but just enough to loosen you up is good.
