strumming patterns

Post by tbillie41 »

how does everyone out there go about figuring out strumming patterns? i've been trying to learn some simple beatles tunes and some other random stuff. my problem is figuring out when to do chord changes, how many times to play a chord before the change etc etc. anyone got any tips or tricks? listening to what i'm trying to learn while playing it helps, but i need all the help i can get.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Eh listening is really the only thing to do if you want to play it like they do. I really suggest just finding what's confortable for you, it's ok if the changes aren't right on, getting really good at chord changes will come in time.
