Post by Links2131 »

I'm looking at getting a new guitar I have currently a Martin DM and I like it but I want somthing new. I was thinking either a taylor 314ce or 314 or a Martin 12 string. D12x1 Anyone have any opinions?

My brother has an alverez it in the other room and I hardly ever play it but I do like the sound (if he would change the strings) but I have some extra cash lying around and have it narrowed down between a new guitar and an Ibook

by the way i have the RD20S... its my beater but its still a great guitar.. got it and the case for $260... solid spruce top, laminate mahogany b/s. great sound/playability, especially for the price. gloss finish too.

its a 314 without the NT neck. it has solid sapele b/s while the 110 has laminate. it lists for a few hundred more.

214 seems like a great deal, although when youre that close you might as well get a 314. who knows though, some people might not like the NT neck.

Thanks I'm going to go to a store that stocks the taylors and play a bunch of them. See what I like.

I would go with the Taylor 300 series.

I just bought a 412ce. It's a really nice guitar, but the 312 played almost the same. Plus I don't know if you are looking to have this thing amped, but if the 300's come with the expression system, there is nothing better. If not, the fishmans are great too. But bottom line, those are all good guitars, play them all and pick the one you like the best.....

hope this helps.
Sonmetimes I would try to catch her, but I never even caught her name.....
