Anyone use Cakewalk Music Creator?

Post by Appfro »

I'm having problems w this program. When i try to install, it says i have to intall directX 8.1 and gives me option to download it from the disk. So i do, and it says it installed successfully. I reboot, and try to intall the music creator again, and it says the same thing about directX not being detected on my system. So does anyone know anything about this, or what im doing wrong. Or does anyone know enough about DirectX to know im doing something wrong? someone help.

ok, i hate to keep looking liek the dumbass but i cna't help it. I got cakewalk to work, and i like it just as much as i like cool edit, except for the metronome. that thing is a life saver. in cool edit, i can get it to play through my headphones that i have hooked up to my speakers and play my guitar to the metronome w/o the mic picking it up. w/ cakewalk, i try to play the metronome and all i get is this little clicking noise that comes straight from my hardrive (im not even sure where) but its not coming through my headphones at all, and i can't hear it when im playing at the same time. anyone know what im doing wrong.

I use Music Creator, and I personally like it better than CEP.
