i had really only used one kind of pick before i tried the tortex .60. the only reason i got those was cuz dave uses them. i really dont see much of a difference. maybe if i use a bunch of different picks i could see a difference, but the type of pick really doesnt matter to me, i just use these cuz dave does

how do the .6's feel? ive used .5s and i hated them...way too weak and flimsy

I love the sound of the .60's, 6String. They're thick enough to not be flimsy, but you can bend em if you'd like.
When I strum w/a heavy or hard pick, I really don't like the sound of the attack on the strings. I find a lighter pick "blends" the notes together better.
IMO, the .60's have the perfect balance of thickness for singling out those notes and riffs and thinness (is that a word?) to make your chord strumming sound great.
