Primarily electric player looking for first "good" acoustic

Want to ask about strings, maintenance, amps, mics, or comparisons of different guitars or any music equipment? This is for all threads related to music equipment.

Primarily electric player looking for first "good" acoustic

Post by Aralok »

Hi all, this is my first post here... I am no stranger to the guitar, as I have been playing for around 5 years, but primarily electrics (Fender Strat anyone??) and after listening (obsessing is probably the better word) to Dave and Tim live at Radio City on repeat for months I have decided that I need a good acoustic of my own. I have a cheap epiphone but it just doesn't have the magic mojo I am looking for. My budget is 900-1200ish US. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated GREATLY. Thanks for your time..

I'm a devoted fan of Alvarez guitars. I think you could get a really great sounding instrument of theirs for significantly less than $1k.

I definitely support this post. Alvarez-Yairi's are also fine guitars. I know they can be upper end but I think some might be at the top of that price range?

Yeah. Klon and I are in lockstep when it comes to our praise of Alvarez.
