I just received a free classical guitar. its in pretty bad condition. what should I use to polish up the fret board? I thought about using Old English Scratch Cover polish...any suggestions?

if you don't want to get something special, I used to use Murphy's Oil :wink:

a few more questions if i may...

1. Is it possible to get it electricized? make it an acoustic electric from acoustic?

2. Is there a store or whatever that does guitar work?

Yes. You can have a store drop in a pickup but you are looking at some money. From the sounds of the guitar it may not be worth it if its a beater. There should be a luthier in your area. Where abouts do you live?

you can also pick up a Dean Markley pickup and just sqweeze it between the soundhole...I mean that is what they are for...that is how I get my 12 string recorded...not sure if it would work with the flemenco sized sound hole though...

I forgot about that. Good idea. I actually have a pickup like that and I tried it with Cool Edit and could not get any sound recorded. I plugged it straight into my computer with a proper attachment and nothing. Any sugestions?

well I had the same problem plugging into my BR-8, but I fooled around with the effects til I got it right...still a tad muffled, but I seriously have no idea...are you getting any signal throught the input?

No signal at all. No worries though. I use my micorphone and its not a big concern of mine. Just wondering if it was something simple.
