Live Trax, Vol. 16 [Riverbend, Cincinnati, OH: June 26, '00]

Post by d.m.b41 »

This Live Trax volume is a special show selected by our friends at Ants Marching. For Live Trax Volume 16, the Ants Marching staff has chosen the first night of a two-night stand in 2000 from Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Highlights of the 06.26.00 Cincinnati show include Sweet Up and Down, LeRoi’s beautiful flute and Carter’s masterful drumming in Say Goodbye, rarity Little Thing at the beginning and end of disc 1, as well as partial #40 (with lyrics) transitioning into Digging a Ditch. A particularly memorable version of Crush and Bartender are also songs worthy of note on the 2000 Riverbend release.

Official track listing:

CD 1:
1. #41
2. Warehouse
3. One Sweet World
4. Say Goodbye
5. Jimi Thing
6. Sweet Up and Down
7. Typical Situation >
8. Little Thing

CD 2:
1. Grey Street
2. Bartender
3. Crush
4. Drive In Drive Out
5. Song That Jane Likes
6. JTR
7. Too Much
8. #40 >
9. Digging a Ditch
10. Two Step

Pre-orders are till September 3rd,
Release date - September 8th

2000 is generally regarded one of the band's strongest tours, so that pretty much makes it release worthy, imo. BTCS stuff was still pretty fresh (even though Crush is the only BTCS song here), the Lillywhite songs are all shiny and new, and Everyday was nowhere in sight.

They were still doing the longer version of Grey Street in 2000 weren't they?

That alone would push me over and make me order this. I love hearing versions of Grey Street before the shortened it.

I was at the show and fucking loved it. Night 2 was awesome. But the first night was incredible.
