Hey guys,
I have a very old Epiphone acoustic guitar that I use to bring outside or to party's, typical beater guitar. Since it's probably roughly 20 years old, the heel of the guitar is slowly lifting and cracking from the body of the guitar. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to repair this MYSELF, no guitar shops. I bought some extra powerful wood glue from the hardware store, but the problem is how I could create enough pressure on the heel in order for the glue to bond it shut. I don't have a C-clamp to experiment with, but I feel like it won't work since it's on the back of the guitar where there's nothing to clamp onto. Here are some pictures, my camera is shitty but I think you can get the picture.
I would think you could just tie something around the body of the guitar and leave it leaning up against something with the strings faced down. Shouldn't be too difficult.
