Just got back from the show and damn, what a great show tonight. The band was really tight and energetic, and Boyd and Roi shined tonight. Great stuff.
The Dreaming Tree - This totally took me by surprise, I wasn't expecting them to open with this at all. I was really excited when Dave started playing the opening riff, knowing I probably will never witness DT opening a show ever again (or being played at a show, period). Nice, long version, Roi solo on sax, threw some Chocolate Rain in there, and pennywhistle outro. Really good stuff
Everyday - A crowd pleaser, not one of my favorites but I can't complain when they just opened with fucking DT.
Say Goodbye - Again, totally not expecting this. Great Carter drum solo intro, then BAM into this, so damn good.
Cornbread - I have been on the fence about this song before this, not really sure how I felt about it, but after tonight I really like it. It has a great groove and some cool parts. Of course the lyrics need help, but it's a great live song.
The Idea of You - saw the soprano 12er come out and was hoping for Shotgun, but I like this too. I actually enjoyed the full song, even the Carter kick-drum madness, I guess because I was so used to the sound of the strong drums that it wasn't as noticeable
Fool to Think - Really nice to hear this, too. Another one that took me by surprise. On the acoustic, great rendition
Where Are You Going - Another one that I could do without, but again I can't complain with what I've got so far
Eh Hee - Dave on electric, Butch clapping into the mic during the intro, Rashawn singing backup. The band and crowd seemed into it, but I just can't get into this song. I just don't like it full band.
Crush - Really great version. Little Stefan intro with delay, and great solo by Boyd. They really jammed this out
Louisiana Bayou - I enjoy the jam, and it's a fun song live, at least imo
A Dream So Real - A total snoozer. The crowd didn't seem into it at all, many people leaving the isles. There was a Dave guitar solo, but I guess that's standard on this tune. I do not like this song. And Dave mentioned that they worked on this song in the studio about a month or so ago
Dreamgirl - Meh, it's short. That's good.
Grace Is Gone »
Black Water (partial) - This was very very cool. Great jam on GIG, then they went into the Doobies' Black Water which I was hoping they'd do, and it was great. They sang it a few times around, very cool moment.
Jimi Thing - w/David Ryan Harris. I was surprised he guested, Dave said he lived (or was around?) this area, so they brought him on. He added some really cool stuff, had a cool solo. Nothing that really blew me away, but a nice version
Grey Street - Saw the 12, hoped for SUAD, but I'll always dig Grey Street. Dave actually managed to flub the lyrics, but the band covered up nicely
Warehouse - Passion/UTTAD intro, really cool, intense. Great version, Rashawn hitting the high notes during the salsa jam. Dave also messed up the lyrics to this, too
Stay (Wasting Time) - I enjoyed it, nothing out of the ordinary. I can only take so many "stay"s though...
Sister - I saw Dave bring the raised B out, and was hoping to God they'd play You Never Know, but Dave mentioned that they played this here last year and I knew it was going to be Sister. I don't mind it, but I heard it live already, so I was kind of disappointed.
Tripping Billies - Great closer, lots of energy, great solo by Boyd to end it. Oh yeah, and there was a little slow intro thing that Dave was playing, reminded me of JTR. He was just fiddling around with it for a bit before they went into Billies.
Overall, great show. I really enjoyed it. I might upload some really crappy pics tomorrow, but now it's sleepy time.

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
