HELP! Used Taylor 410ce or new Martin D16RGT???

Post by VTDreaminwithDMB »

I can't decide on buying either a used Taylor 410ce in Excellent condition or a new Martin D16RGT. Both are same price at $1199. I was leaning towards the Taylor since it is all wood and I wanted a cutaway.

The Martin is solid wood too. I think you would be happy with either, but having a cutaway is nice is you play up there.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

Well the Martin has the micarta neck which is why I said it's not 100% wood. Wouldn't the Taylor hold better resale value?

Which ever one sounds best to you. The Martin is probably warmer but I dont know about that model. Is it solid wood?

The neck of the D-16RGT is actually Cedar. The fretboard/fingerboard is Micarta.

I have a D-16RGT and I love it.
