Taylor 414

About a year ago, I stopped playing guitar, and I just recently realized that my Taylor 414 acoustic has been sitting in the case the whole time. To be brief, it would actually get some use if I sold it to someone -- plus I could use the money. Anyway, I am thinking of putting it up on ebay, but I am not sure about the value of the 414. What should I expect to get for it? It's a 2003 model, I believe, and I rarely played it. Still in good condition.

What's a reasonable asking price? Also, would it be better to just sell it to a guitarcenter store?

we sell that guitar new for around $1500 Canadian; you could probably get around $1000 Canadian. if your lucky. (if it has the cutaway & electronics than it's worth more).

i think you would make more if you sold it to someone through ebay or the sort rather then trading it in at a guitar center, they will screw you over

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking $800-$900 is reasonable....does that sound about right for the 414?

thats a damn nice guitar...My dad has that but i do not touch it. he didn't even say "don't touch" I wouldn't someone to touch my Taylor if i had one.

That's one fine guitar. I'm seriously considering buying a 410ce for myself. I love the sound of that ovangkol (plus it looks beautiful).
