i call this a poem because i dont know if i will ever make it a song, but its just something i wrote one day.


Freedom For All

You senators and congressmen
please find something better to do with your time
There has got to be something more important dwelling on your mind
You make laws that allow people to take life away
It's their right you say
What if I feel like taking yours today

Is life and liberty some kind of joke
Whos rights are you trying to protect
How about the innocent life you are trampling over
The young sheep who has done no wrong, caused no harm
Are you trying to corrupt him just like you
To lie and cheat and steal like you

Your bills we pay and we're supposed to do what you say
Its time someone takes your power away
Your reckless mind needs to quit
Lets get some leaders who can reason and think
A man with some kind of decency
Have the lions of politics devoured them all

You just walked over that man lying there in the street
With nothing to eat, nothing on his feet
With plenty of food and a stomach like that how can you complain
A child's belly swells to the size of yours but for reasons not the same
Life is just not a game you play
If they were yours would you treat them the same

You say its not up to me to tell them how to behave
The land of the free, the ill and depraved
Stand up tall and decide which side you are really on
The wind is blowing hard now in your face
Take it and embrace it and make me proud again to say
I live in the land of the U.S. of A
