ultimate newbie theory question

hey... i am wondering something. when dave plays something, lets take the chorus for #41 for instance, when he sings, does it all fit in the G/F#/C chords? i dont think im wording this quite right..

what i think i want to know is, when he sings, how does it fit with what hes playing on the guitar (or the rest of the band for that matter)

so, for 1 measure he'd be singing in G, 1 in F# and 2 in C (#41 chorus)

what are the notes he sings.. does anyone know

no...they key doesn't change that much. I think it's Em or G the entire time.

em is the relative minor of g. so it is the same

My answer would be that it just does. Dave makes it fit by singing notes/pitches that sound good over those chord changes. I might need you rephrase your question for a better response...
