shredding

i am really not interested in shred style music at all, but i would like to be able to do it. just because its impressive and i think having that ability could improve soloing etc.

Does anyone have any good exercises or anything to improve speed/other shred techniques?

I thought you saw him in concert and I thought he was part of one of Claypool's side projects.

I don't enjoy listening to shredding but I can respect the discipline it takes to do so.

Oh yeah, I did see him concert, which is why I don't particularly like him, hahaa. He's an amazing guitarist, and he's great within the context of another band, like Praxis of C2B3, but on his own he gives me a migraine.
