Violin to American Baby Intro

I've been fucking around with translated Boyd's violin intro to American Baby Intro onto guitar, but I can't seem to nail it.

Anyone else wanna take a stab at this? I think it would sound really cool...

The opening bit, the part that pretty much stays the same in every performance, sounds like it's
