Rare Dave Matthews song?

Rare Dave Matthews song?

Hi, I figured somebody on this board might be able to help me...

My friend showed me this song that he got off limewire, its apparently a very rare recording of Dave Matthews and Ben Harper...it's called "That's the Reason," and it sounds like it was recorded on a home computer with a very cheap mic. There's static in the background, and clipping on the guitar, but it's actually a very good song, and I was wondering if any of you had heard of it, and possibly give a bit of background info on it.

Do you have the song? Could you post it? (You can use a website like http://www.yousendit.com to upload it.) I personally have never heard of this, but I am inclined to doubt it. "Rare" songs found on P2P networks are almost invariably mislabeled.

yeah, that sounds exactly like Dave, thanks for the rare find!!!!


EDIT: Not that it's a terrible song or anything, but didn't it clue you in that it wasn't dave when you heard the guy start singing?

I knew it didn't sound like him, but I had no idea, and I figured, hey, why not follow the only lead I have? This seemed like the best place to start.

Perhaps I should have said "supposedly a song by..." as opposed to "apparently a song by..." to make things a bit clearer.
