I thought I was close to buying a Martin D28 but then I saw and played this guitar:
It's used but it's pretty awesome and rare. Guitar Center is trying to sell it for $1999. Anyone have any idea if that is a reasonable price?
Also any idea on what to expect on resale or trade in for a guitar. Specifically it is a Martin D16GT.

to me, it is not a martin if it has a sunburst finish or a cutaway.

I dunno, I like the sunburst but i wouldnt get a martin sunburst. I would rather have a gibson J45 for 400 less.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

$1999 is wayyyyy overpriced for that guitar. It's nice, but if you're getting a good price on the D28, I don't see any reason to get anything other than that. Better sound and not overpriced.

I like sunburst on electrics, but I like an acoustic to look wooden.

Has anyone tried the new Guitar Center Martin? It's the 'GC MMV' I think. I played one today it was awesome. It's the D-28 minues the aesthetics. Same guitar, no trim. $999 holy shit I wanted to buy it it was saucy.
