So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Hey does anyone knows how thick dave's picks are and what type are they

Dave uses .60 pics (or Mediums, cuz that's usually what medium thickness is). Last I heard, Dave uses Dunlop Tortex picks. If you go to a guitar store and look for Dunlop Totex picks, they should be orange.

In which songs does dave use a pick???

What about the newer ones I have seen. They seem to be grey in color.

all but a few, and the grey ones are still the .6 tortex just their custom made with DMB on them.

well i wanted to know coz i only started playn acoustic after i heard dave and i use to use these stubby picks which were 2-3 mm and i felt they were too thick for an acoustic so i was wondering what i should use thats all

Dunlop makes their tortex picks in a variety of colors, a specific color for a specific thickness. Dave uses .60mm and those are orange, but somewhat recently Dunlop also made all their picks available in dark grey, so Dave has been using the dark grey ones, also .60mm, I would assume.

I personally prefer the Dunlp Ultex .60mm acoustic picks, but theres probably not much of a difference, try them both if you get a chance though.
