So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Has anyone heard a decent acoustic version of STAY? I was thinking of adding it to a set list, but I didn't know if anyone had succesfully pulled it off.
I was listening to a D&T show from a while back, and they attempted it, but it was hard to listen to. The timing felt like it was way off.
Anyone know whcih version I'm talking about?

Didn't Dave play Stay at Farm Aid 2005? If he did, that will be the best acoustic one to listen to.

I have a copy of him playing it in 6/8 time I think. It sounded awful.

They've done it in 6/8 more than once. But yea, yuck, shitty...
Benaroya is sick, I can't really think of any other time it was done in normal time solo.

The 6/8 time one? I was listening to it and I thought the file was screwed up so I went to the show notes and it said it was in 6/8.

That's the version I was referring to. Apparently there is other times when he played it that way. i was unaware of that, unless Kukini is wrong?
