Logging out problem

Post by Speenis »

For the second time today I clicked on my bookmark to go to the boards and it asked me to log in again...even though I have already logged in earlier today, and I checked the box to keep me logged in. It has happened to me twice today, on two different computers, and at two random times. Any idea why this is happening and how it can be fixed?

EDIT: Oh yeah, and every post is marked read

Because you logged in from two different computers? You can't do that, it invalidates autologin keys.

Whhhat? I've been doing that for three months now and it has been fine until today. Its no big deal anyway, just wondering why its happening.

It was a security flaw that was fixed in the last update about two weeks ago, which is when it should have stopped working.

Hmm, should I just log out when I leave work? Will that eliminate every post from being read, so I can still see what I haven't read yet?

Unfortunately, no :(

That's something I'm working on for the future, but it's not a feature in phpBB.
