does anyone else have a hard time playing and singing this song at the same time? its one of my favorites, but i just cant keep the rythem going when i try to sing at the same time

I don't...anymore. I used to and even Dave himself said he had a hard time at first.

the only part that gives me any trouble is the" take all that... mostly the 8xx8 slide to 10xx10, never seems to sound clean

see i can sing and play most songs fairly well, but this one gives me trouble

ive never thought this song sounds that great when played without the guys, ...i mean tim can put it off, but at the end of the day this is more the guitar part to a band song than a guitar song that also has the band, thus it makes the singing and playing trickyer and slightly less rewarding.

i tried it a couple times and couldn't do it so i quit. i guess if i worked really really hard i could probably get it but i just didn't try. it's a good song but definetly not one of my favorites.

"When the world ends" really helped me with my rhythm with other dave songs. Its a beat you really have to wait for. I used to hate the song until one day i learned it and now i love it.
Ranting mad a great reply about this song and its simularity to "Everyday". I dig the song.
