Well, I think my time has come. Every now and then (when i'm bored at work), I go to Ebay and type in those magical numbers and letters. The other day I did just that, and found that there is one currently on auction. I thought about it for a few moments and then said, "F this, it's now or never", and bid. So far I'm the only one who has bid at all
It's going for what seems to be a pretty fair value. I thought I'd let you guys know if you were thinking of throwing your hat in the ring. I'd much rather lose the auction and know it was going to one of us than some douchebag.
I'll let you know how it turns out in a few days.....
Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.
i'll give you some advice, never bid early, you are just going to raise the price more and more.
have a maximum you are willing to pay, know for sure that is how much you are willing to pay, iagine it gone form your account.
then stalk the auction for its final hour. see if it is still below your max, the with like 2 minutes left or 1 minute left you enter that max bid as a proxy bid.
What person in their right mind holy enough to own a DM3MD would sell it? I guess if they went bankrupt and wanted to liquidate some of their assets, but how would someone that financially irresponsible come to own one in the first place?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

increases your chances like crazy.
I'm probably gonna need to use that in 1 day and 21 hours...

The guitar is incrreasing in value every year. Someone who realized it's a good investment could sell one for much more than they bought it for a few years down the road. So essentially you're making money for holding onto a guitar.

A friend of mine on the Acoustic Guitar Forum (http://www.acousticguitarforum.com) sold this guitar to that company in Florida. Whoever is bidding on this guitar is getting a real good deal, and a well-maintained and cared for guitar.
Nice going! I truly hope you win!!!
(But it still doesnt beat me and the $2400 I paid for my DM3MD)
I was the only bid at $4200. I was really surprised to be the only bidder. I was expecting to be outbid at the very last minute. I guess it's hindsight now, but I don't think the price was all that bad. Now I have to work out all the Paypal crap. They make you jump through several hoops for more expensive purchases.
I can't wait to play it. I'll send out a review once I get it sometime next week.
