Microphones
So I'd like to buy my own microphone, until now I've used the ones at my church (I co-coordinate the music ministry for a teen program, as well as do vocals and guitar). I'm lookin' in the $100-$150 range, something fairly simple, but that I can use for both my vocals in a live situation, and vocals/guitar in a home recording situation. I don't have a ton of experience with microphones, so what's my best bet?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Thats a link to a sure sm58. They are kind of an industry standard and have been around for quite awhile. Although I dont own one of these I haev heard countless people tell me they are indestructable and sound like a charm.

Re: Microphones
Go to Guitar Center. You can get an AKG or Shure for that price. very good, durable microphones.Jenns4Ever9501 wrote:So I'd like to buy my own microphone, until now I've used the ones at my church (I co-coordinate the music ministry for a teen program, as well as do vocals and guitar). Thanks. I've also heard very good things about the SM58, however, I haven't heard much of anything about anything else, so I just wanted some input. Thanks guys.
