Want to ask about strings, maintenance, amps, mics, or comparisons of different guitars or any music equipment? This is for all threads related to music equipment.
So I think I'm going to be buying a new guitar in the near future and have it down to the taylor 310 and the martin d-15. I've played both in stores and i personally think the taylor sounds better, but they both sound great.
any experience with one or the other or tips are appreciated. musciainsfriend is having a pretty nice sale right now, so the taylor 410 is even affordable.

No one can really tell you which is better cause they are too different. I say play them again. I'm sure they both sound great, but i'm sure they also sound very different and play and feel different.

please. i don't need permission to spend almost $1000 on a guitar, i wear the pants in this relationship.
plus she's buying it for me for christmas this year.

lucky shit... Of course that would be really cool if I got a nice guitar for christmas...
On that note who loves to play in the winter when it's snowing outside and your playing by the window and a fireplace? i think that is as awesome as playing like outdoors in the summer.
I happened to compare both today for a friend that was considering the two, I was laughing when i saw your post, funny. Anyway, i liked the taylor better for some reason, it sounded better balanced to me and my friend liked the way it played better than the martin. Both sounded good to me for the price, ijust thought the taylor had a little better balance, but the martin was louder. Plus it's a Mahogany vs. Rosewood battle too...
