Howie Day/ Keller Williams tyo looping

Post by Kahn »

What kind of equipment are these loop guys using to loop and layer tracks live? I was watching the Howie Day - Ghosts video off of Jason's site and was wondering what kind of pedals he uses and how many. Is it one pedal for each track? Or can one pedal hold several tracks? And how long can you loop for. bascally, what would one need to recreate these effects.

I'm thinking there will be a sound issue with any pedal trying to play 11 different loops at once.

Doesn't Howie use 2 Line 6 DL4's? One for guitar and one for vocals.

i have that boss looper and i love it, I would highly reccomend it to anyone.

There is also a petal out there called the Boomerang that is kind of common. I did alot of research before I bought the boss and I think I got the best. Well Best for the price and what I do.

Happy Looping

Keller uses a Gibson Echoplex, and unless you got an extra $1000 layin around I think you better stick to either a nice delay pedal or the Boss Looper.

These folks ain't lying. If i remember correctly, the DL4 has 14 seconds of looping ability, but you can change it to record in half-time (that probably isnt the right hyphenated word, but oh well) and get 28 seconds. Then you can record as many parts over that loop as you want.
