Yeah, it is crazy, but imagine how much they'll cost 10, even 20 years from now. $5000 is a deal at the moment.

hes selling it to UMGF members for only 4550. The dude has a rediculous amount of high end guitars, then sells them later on. He actually had 5 DM3MD's! here is what he said:

The first one I sold shortly after buying it (for $2300 !) five years ago--before the market skyrocketed on them. Three I bought off of ebay, and the other two through some "networking". It is really a great guitar, but since I am not a huge DMB fan, the "premium" for his sig is not worth it to me, though I truly love that African Padauk wedge in the back and the headstock, and it is such a smooth player.

The market may be a little soft on these (and others) now. There is a guy on ebay who has tried twice to sell his DM3MD for $5000, and now has it relisted for $4500. BUt his ad copy is not good, and he is using stock photos--neither of which helps to instill confidence in appropriately skeptical buyers.

this is his current list of guitars:

HD28 * HD18JB * D28KTBSDG * D12-35
DM3MD * M36 * MPFF * 0000-28H-AG
0000-28H-12-AG * CowboyII * 00028VS
000JBS * 0016DBFM * 0017SO * 0017
LXM * Backpacker * HD-7(on order!)
Guild J12-30 * Taylor GSST * Taylor JDCM
Deering D6 * Gianini Dred * Rainsong WS1000
