i remember we were all talking about in my earlier "DMB has not Peaked" thread that was quite controversal, something to the extent of "DMB has lost that special feeling behind the songs and it's obvious in there playing, but they are tight as ever." I aggree but oh come on, they play these songs so much, ofcourse, thats what happens when you listen to a song over and over again, they get old. Don't get me wrong i would had loved to see the 98 tour, they were great shows, but songs get repetitious after all nights of playing them and thats reality of it, it doesn't mean they don't put what they got into the songs. take paul mccartney, he nearly cried when he started playin "the long and winding road" but don't forget it had been years since he had played that song, these guys have been playing some of these songs 15 years straight. maybe they do need a good while off, and id bet if dave hadnt played #41 in even several years he might just break down too.
