its something about what dave saw in another country. I think its a drag queen or a transvestite

It's in Step Into The Light. It has to do with crossdressers. I can't remember the whole story either, but I think it made him realize he was happy to be himself and not someone else.

Yeah, but that's not the appropriate context. Dave's use of the word comes from the word nancy in the South African dialect of English, and it refers to a crossdressing prostitute if I recall correctly.

the way that i heard it, was dave was in Spain (?) and he was in a cab driver and he saw a bunch of manly looking women dancing in a park nearby. he asked the cab driver, what they were and what they were doing and the cab driver told him they were nancies. therefore, dancing nancies.

he was in a cab in spain, and they go by the park and dave sees a lot of women just standing around and says somethin like "a lot of women in the park tonight" and the cab driver goes "theyre not women" or somethin, well it came outa that.
