NEW ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL! CRIT PLEASE!

Post by mangold »

so i was messing around with Incubus' pardon me the other day and i was having alot of fun layering the riffs etc. so i made up my own thing and tried to use some theory to make riffs and i layered em for the hell of it. Heres what i came up with. it was fun and i think its worth a listen.

im listening to it right now....some parts the layering gets off a bit...and at points the background gets just to be a jumble....you miss a couple harmonics but im sure you noticed that.

i dunno what you wanna have said about it...it seems to be one thing with a bunch of different stuff layered over it...

i dunno about "off" but definately awkward: the harmonic at 21 seconds; 40-43 (or thereabout) get kinda weird; the part where you miss a couple harmonics gets off a bit but thats just because of the missing probably.

the second listen was a bit smoother...not bad for just throwin it together...but nothing special(no offense)

I like looping artists, and this turned out well. For some reason it reminded me of an acoustic Thunderstruck lol.

i didnt hear any wrong notes...but to me, its only wrong if it sounds bad, not if its not "theoretically" correct. fatjack or someone can probably tell you if you went out of bounds in that regard. but there are no wrong notes : if it sounds good, its the right note
