Goes to show that this album truly is a mish mash and a real stream of consciousness piece. It truly sounds as it is described, a jumble of "cool" riffs and beats created off the cuff.

If SU keeps DMB fresh and interested in making more music that's great, but I still don't care for this new disc save a very few tracks.

Great article though. Thanks.

That's all we can ask for right?
EDIT: I say this because I really DO appreciate DMB's music and anything that keeps 'em around is kosher w/me.

USA Today wrote:Some instrument-swapping went on. Matthews played the piano; Tinsley toyed with the electric mandolin. Bass player Stefan Lessard picked up a guitar and played some alternative-rock riffs that led to the U2-flavored Hunger for the Great Light. A sultry LeRoi Jones sax line served as the roots for Stolen Away on 55th and 3rd.

Matthews says. "It's a contemporary-sounding record, but it's got a whole lot of back porch to it, too, because ... a lot of the stuff came up from the guts."
Yeah, it came from the guts. As in upchuck!

Seriously, I liked a good bit of the new album, but the other good bit, is crap.
