BROCK OR PAT: VIDEO CAMERA HELP

Can someone tell me of a cheap program or a program that will come with a Compaq computer that has Windows 98 that allows you to convert video from your video camera (Standard Sony...Handycam Vision) onto your computer?

i used to use videowave back when it was owned by MGI and version 3 - i'd assume that's still viable. a lot of people swear by pinnacle studio

MGI or any videowave stuff is shit... i do swear by pinnacle and adobe, now the mgi may be alright for what your doing, if your JUST capturing, but it wont be very high quality.

I honestly have no idea. I just use Windows Movie Maker, but that doesn't come with Win98.
